Gift of Giving to our Seminarians

A note from our Court Regent, Glenda Bautista:
Below is our group picture taken by Wayne Ly, A very talented Seminarian at St. Mary Seminary at our "CDA Christmas Bags for Seminarian Project." This idea of helping our Seminarians was suggested by Fr. Wayne and by our CDA member, Ann Cashiola. Court #2258 joyfully accepted and this was accomplished with the help of Fr. Trung. Thank you! 

In November, Members of CDA Court Queen of all Apostles started, contributed and collected gift items for this project.
 
Dec. 5, 2017, was SHOW TIME at St. Mary's Seminary!!!
We attended a lovely 5:30 Mass at the chapel, and dinner after, by the invitation of Fr. Trung, and help from our very own, Deacon David Hurst, Seminarian Ryan Lambert and Michael.

Gift Cards, cash and several items of clothing were raffled off, which they were so excited.
The Catholic Daughters thought that this was a great break for them, since it's the 2nd. day of their final exam week. They told us that Fr. Leon was hard on them.

76 Gift bags filled with various goodies like mugs, socks, restaurant coupons, baseball caps
Toothpaste and many other toiletries were distributed to each one, after dinner.
 
I would like to thank all our members, relatives and friends who help us  with this project.
To the Seminarians, thank you, for being so welcoming and caring during this event.
 
This was a joy and a blessing to CDA Court 2258, District 20 of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Our 1st. and we hope to do this every year.
